Hi, I'm Megan.
I'm a transformational business coach and brand photographer based in Carluke, Scotland. I help women who are good at what they do but feel like something's off — to find out what, and do something about it.
The work I do
I work at the intersection of identity and strategy. Because in my experience, the two are inseparable. When something's not working in your business, it's almost always connected to something in you — and fixing the surface without going deeper is just expensive tinkering.
Most coaching either goes deep without giving you anything practical to do, or it gives you tactics that don't stick because the foundation underneath them is misaligned. My work does both. We go deep when we need to. We get practical when we need to. Sometimes in the same session.
My story
I built my photography business from scratch alongside becoming a mum. I navigated PCOS, sleepless seasons, the identity shifts that come with motherhood, and the slow realisation that the version of me who built my business wasn't the version who needed to sustain it.
In 2025, my dad had a cardiac arrest while we were in Florida. We did CPR. I came home not knowing if he'd make it. And in the months that followed, my business taught me everything I now teach others — about capacity, about sustainability, about the difference between maintaining and building, about how a business that only works when you're okay isn't a business at all.
I trained as a transformational coach because I'd lived what my clients were paying me to navigate. The Pearl was built from that learning.
What I believe
That ambition and softness aren't opposites.
That success should fit your life, not consume it.
That identity work is the most strategic work you can do.
That you can't scale a business from a foundation that's already cracking.
And that the right kind of support changes everything.
Outside the work
I live in Lanarkshire with my husband, our son Mason, and dog Cooper. I'm currently training for a half marathon for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland. I co-sleep, drink too much coffee, and find editing photos at night strangely meditative.
